Whatever happened…

Whatever happened to eloquence?
We have this new rule at school which is an absolute piece of shit.
Girls can only wear black and white accesories
Yes, you read that right. What the hell is the purpose of this rule?! Will we be guaranteed to be successful, smarter or happier when we are only allowed to wear black and white accessories? This rule hinders the freedom to be able to express one’s self. The reason for this rule is “simplicity” which is synonymous to the word plainness. Is it not a person’s choice if she doesn’t want to be plain? Our country is democratic and here at our very own school it is not being executed. Wearing colored accessories does not affect a person’s morality neither is it out of the norm. In conclusion, this rule is a futile attempt to have authority over the freedom of self expression.
Being simple is a choice not a law.

Hi sis! We have the same dilemmas. My university also won’t allow colored hair accessories, colored earrings and colored nail polish (they only allow beige or platinum or french tip or whatever plainess). They say it’s for discipline and simplicity– I say it’s uber useless and pointless. You’re soooo right, will it affect our performance? I don’t really think so =.=

You’re still lucky. Before sa school namin, bawal magschool shoes na above 2 inches ang heels, bawal colored accessories, bawal dangling/huge earrings, bawal bracelets/rings/necklaces, etc.. Nagyon nga I heard na dapat Lady President tatak ng socks nila. O diba? So you see, ayos pa school niyo.

huh? wtf?! haha :]] I can’t last finishing a school year wearing those kind of accessories. I mean, yeah you’re right sis it’s not a law but a choice. {parang laging may lamay sa school nyu ha? hihi}

hi hun you know what they try to impose rules like that in school not in highschools, but in elementary and whatnot. places where you have to wear uniform pretty much. they do believe that if one doesnt pay attention to what they look like they have more focus on school. it’s ridiculous, but what can you do
16. lois | June 27th, 2008 at 7:09 am
hay nako, sa ex-school ko naman, bawal ang dangling / expensive jewelries. bawal mag suot ng necklace. LOL. ganyan talaga yang mga school eh, kanya kayang gawaan ng rules. XP
17. ranyah | June 27th, 2008 at 8:54 am
uu nga ganda kakainis. hmmp. basta makagawa lang ng rule e ayus na. tara mag-rebelde tayu! mwahaha.
18. Joelle | June 28th, 2008 at 4:39 am
Wow, I don’t have any grudges against plainness pero that rule is downright injustice.
Gawa kayo ng petition? lol just kidding.
